General Questions

We are located in Mattawa, Ontario – approximately 3.5 hours from Toronto.

Our water is provided by our local well and seasonal tannin levels can result in a slight discolouration of the water. Our water has been tested to be safe for drinking however we recommend boiling the water prior to consumption or bringing your own 15L water jugs to use in our provided dispenser.

No, unfortunately we do not allow pets on site for the comfort of our future guests (i.e. allergies, odors etc).

Our cottage infrastructure can only handle so much for 3 major reasons; firstly, taking into consideration our room sizes, we are only able to support a certain number of people at any given time. Secondly, we have a septic system that is not connected to a city line therefore it can only handle a limited amount of volume. Finally, our well water,  which is also located on our property,  can only regenerate enough to comfortably support our occupancy limits.
